Congratulations to the Sollie family!

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that Morgan has welcomed a beautiful baby girl!  Welcome to the world Haven Lee, born on September 15th at 6:21 PM. She weighed 6.3 pounds and was 19 inches long. Mom and baby are both doing great! Please join us and sending love and congratulations to Morgan and her family as they celebrate this special new addition.

20 years of Preschool, Summer Camps, Pre-K Graduations, Water Days, learning, laughter, and fun. 💙 We had to scroll way back through our Facebook archives to find some of these throwback photos (and could have shared so many more!).

Over the past two decades, we’ve been through a lot together—celebrating milestones, adapting to challenges, and supporting one another through it all. Even during COVID, when so much was shut down, we kept our doors open for the children of essential workers.

We are beyond grateful to have served our amazing families for the past twenty years. Kids Cottage wouldn’t be what it is today without YOU—our families, teachers, and kiddos who have been part of this journey. 🌟

We’re so excited to share that Ms. Bobbi welcomed her sweet baby boy on July 31st. Both Mama and baby Jett are doing well and are resting up at home, soaking up the last few weeks of summer! ☀️

Our garden has been thriving this year!!!🪴We’ve already harvested lots of squash, cucumbers and peppers. The Dolphin class even got to do a taste test! They got to try some of our homegrown cucumbers and cooked up some squash to try in class — and they loved it!

Last night we had the honor of celebrating our very own Ms. Ashley A. at the Excellence in Early Childhood Awards in Dover! 🏆

She was named Center-Based Classroom Educator of the Year, recognized alongside two other incredible winners from different categories and runner-ups from across the state.

Ms. Ashley’s passion, dedication, and love for her students shine through in everything she does and we are so very proud of her and all she’s accomplished! 💛✨

We are beyond proud to share that our very own Ms. Ashley A. has been named DIEEC CENTER BASED CLASSROOM EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR!!!!!!! 🤩🎉🩵💚

Ashley was nominated by her peers and selected from a pool of exceptional educators across the state of Delaware by a board of panelists. This recognition is incredibly well-deserved!

Ms. Ashley has been a valued part of the Kids Cottage team since 2019. A Towson University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Ashley has brought her passion, creativity, and dedication to our 3-year-old and Pre-K programs as an Assistant Teacher. For the past three years, she’s also led our Math and Science Enrichment, crafting fun, exciting, and engaging lesson plans that spark curiosity and joy in her students.

She supports her lead teachers, helps manage the classroom with care and structure, and always ensures that every child feels welcomed, included, and seen. Her strong relationships with families, her positive energy, and her warm, team-oriented spirit make her not only a phenomenal educator, but also a beloved coworker and friend.

Today we welcomed Kid Singer Jim for one of our end-of-the-year celebrations, and the kids had an absolute blast! He put on an energetic and entertaining performance that had everyone singing and dancing along. 🎶

After the show, we cooled off with sweet treats from the Cup R’ Cone ice cream truck—what a perfect way to end the week!

The fun doesn’t stop here—Kid Singer Jim will be performing in our area this summer! Catch him live at the Freeman Stage and check out his puppet show on the Bethany Beach Boardwalk. 🎭
