> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Annual Exhibition of Bethany’s Studio of Art, 2026
[NEW YORK, NY] – The Amerasia Bank Gallery in Flushing is proud to present "The View - 意像", an art exhibition running from May 8 to May 18, 2026. This annual group showcase features 84 exceptional works from students of Bethany’s Studio of Art, highlighting the creative talents of children and teenagers aged 7 to 18.
This year’s collection includes several award-winning pieces from various art competitions. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including pencil and charcoal drawing, watercolor, tempera, acrylic, oil painting, mixed media, and collage.
Bridging Technique and Vision
Is art a playful endeavor or a serious discipline? At Bethany’s Studio of Art, students find that the answer lies within their own creative process. The studio guides students to discover "Truth, Goodness, and Beauty" in modern life, transforming these elements into artistic pursuits. Whether the subject is a depiction of the natural world, an expression of the inner soul, or a visual exploration of abstract thought, each piece culminates in a tangible "View." The exhibition emphasizes that foundational skills are vital to realizing these visions. The studio remains dedicated to balancing observation with imagination, focusing on the mastery of drawing, color theory, composition, and handling tools of various media.
Exploring Identity in a Multicultural Metropolis
For second- and third-generation immigrants growing up in New York, multiculturalism is not just an environment—it is a defining characteristic. The works on display reflect this journey of self-discovery, exploring relationships between people, the intersection of the city and nature, and the authentic feelings of youth. Together, they form a vibrant "View" of life in New York.
Celebrating Community and Growth
For over a decade, Bethany’s Studio of Art has hosted an annual exhibition to share student achievements with the community and encourage young artists to integrate art as an essential part of their personal growth.
Special Event: Closing Reception
Departing from the traditional opening ceremony, this year we will host a Closing Reception on May 16. The event will feature live music and light refreshments, offering guests a wonderful opportunity to interact with the young artists and discuss their work.
