Texas State 4-H Horse Show

We had some success!

We saw a lot of growth!

We had some fun!

We missed our Alli!

We cheered together and lifted each other!

Our team is a special kind of family. I am forever grateful that these kids have chosen horses, chosen to be a part of our team, and choose to be friends with each other! We are from 5 counties, and we helped District 11 take 2nd place in the State!!!

Abigail tried her hand at some more English classes. She still has a lot to learn, diagonals are a tough one! But super proud of all that hard work!

Today marks year six in a row for me at the State 4-H horse show!! This year we we have a bigger team, more riders, more support and even more knowledge!

While we all miss our youth leader Allison Bauer, we are cheering her on while she prepares to compete in Nebraska!

Texas High School Rodeo Finals

This was Alli’s first year in HS Rodeo Reined Cow Horse. She was all kinds of nervous. She and Reyna made a nice run in Round 1 taking 9th place. In round 2 they cleaned it up and made a powerful run on a spicy cow pulling 3rd place. This put them in 6th place going into the Short Go. They made a clean run both reining and cow taking 4th in the go and earning 4th in the average! This was enough for them to qualify for the National Finals HS Rodeo in Lincoln Nebraska!!

Stock Horse of Texas show at The Gathering in Guthrie, OK

When we started the ranch horse journey with our Alli, we never saw this building as it has!

We had 4 riders with 5 horses chasing All Arounds… all 5 horse rider teams hit Top Ten!!!
