As I am reflecting on yesterday’s retreat, I am grateful for the amazing ladies that stepped up to help out! For next year, I want to invite you to join me in planning the next retreat! What an amazing day!! We spent the day in the word… we made a prayer board, prayed for each other, laughed, cried… and had great fellowship together! See you next year! Last Saturday in February (February 27, 2027)!

🙏🏼⚔️👑🖤

She is full of strength and an undeniable light; a sky blazing flame rising on a darkened unknown night. For she knows whom she calls on, and she knows He will not fail her. For she has felt the magnitude of life’s greatest quakes, but she has also seen and received His everlasting power and undeserved grace.

She’s never chasing the sun, for what does it’s warmth matter? Nothing but a temporary comfort in a world and place that can leave it quickly undone. No, this woman runs into the fire and she leaps into the rain! She stands among the fire knowing her ashes will only rise upward.

She takes off the things weighing and nipping at her feet; chains broken, regret, and pain have no choice but to wait. For the ground she walks on knows that she has the authority within her to call it to move, and it rumbles in fear and it tremors with truth! For even on the darkest of days and lightning filled nights, the rain that has never come to destroy her path, only to pause her movements and cleanse it once more.

She embraces the scars that she has acquired and she works hard so they never become another’s wound. For her desire is not to remove the crowns of others, but instead to help straighten each one as her Father always does hers. She moves in a beautiful way, in such a non beautiful place; two worlds collided. With one eternal, she is clearly in another for this time, but her spirit never fails to repeat that though she be in it, she will never ever be of it, for she has been called according to His purpose.

She is a warrior even on the days and in the moments that it feels as if this world has won. Even then, in moments of despair, her parched lips sing His praise and her teary eyes can still see His goodness through the trials. His living Word surrounds her and she knows that she has not been and will not be defeated, even when her flesh may feel it, because the God she serves has never lost a battle, and He reminds her in every moment that He never will.

She’s adorned in white as the bride she is seen as, while covered in the dirt of life that storms have brought her way. She is beautiful and she is messy, but she is His, and nothing can stop her from reaching her destination. For she is like the leaves changing among seasons, and trusting in time, but He is the roots and the branches, holding her close through every wind and every hard shake.

The more this world takes, the less of it she is, and there, right there, on the line between two worlds, she still smiles these words in prayer; more of You, and please Lord, less of me. A warrior to a King. Another day, another breath, to praise His name and love the ones she holds close.

I didn’t get many pictures yesterday, but what an amazing time with a wonderful group of women!! The Cozy Mountain Lodge retreat was a blessing!! Thanks to the speakers and the ones behind the scenes that helped prepare everything!! It was a GREAT day!
