Hey classmates, with the new school year just started it gets us thinking of our next reunion. Hard to believe but next year will be our 50th reunion! We are looking at options as to where to have it. Here are 5 options with some thoughts on venue style.
Let us know what you think would be your choice.
We are also looking at having the reunion sometime in October 2026. Date to be determined by availability of location.

Option 1 - Manitowoc Street Pub - Reedsville (for those of you that don't know this is the former Ratachecks store and now a bar)
Option 2 - Reedsville Sportsmans Club (at the lower level - not where we had our joined 45th reunion - this is the lower smaller bar)
Option 3 - Menchalville Fire Department - Menchalville (where we had our 40th reunion)
Option 4 - Joe's Clays and Guns/Rusty Ford Bar - Menchalville (this is a new bar that has opened at Joe's Clays and Guns - the class of 74 had their 50th reunion there)
Option 5 - K-City Pub and Grill - Kellnersville (this is the former Webers - the class of 75 is having their 50th there)
Option 6 - ?

Things to think about:
a) Do you want to have it at a place that is just confined to one room or do you want to have it where classmates can wander off to the main bar?
b) Do you want a big meal that is served there or do you want it catered in or do you just want a lite meal like finger food?
c) What are you willing to spend to attend?
d) Think of noise level at each place and how much do you want to talk or do you want to hear music or both?

It would be nice to have as many people attend as possible. There are many of our classmates that are not on facebook that we will need to reach out to. And sadly we have 16 classmates that have passed away. We will make sure to remember them that night.

Our AFS friend from Bolivia Anibal Rossel came to our area this past Thursday to Saturday. He brought his lovely wife Tatiana with him. After a delayed flight from Texas to (what should have been Appleton) they finally landed in Madison. They then drove to Reedsville on Thursday to meet Michael Nate who gave us a tour of our old high school. The school has definitely changed its apperance since 1976 but Anibal fondly remembered many things like walking the square and our school play (Pillow Talk & Water Boofalos😉). We then went to Brillion to visit with Norman and Rick Gill who he lived with while living here. On Friday, I hosted a party for some of our classmates to visit with him. Even tho the party was smaller than I had hoped we had wonderful conversations. We got a chance to catch up on everyone's lives for the past 49 years. Sadly on Sat morn we went to our friend Gene Bauknechts funeral. Less than two months ago when Gene knew Anibal was coming to visit, they were looking forward to seeing each other. Our visit with Anibal and Tatiana then ended after a nice late breakfast at Forest Junction. They then traveled back to Appleton, did some sight seeing with friends and then flew back home to Texas. Anibal is not retired just yet. He is a Doctor and still taking care of his patients in Houston. He hopes to return next fall for our 50th class reunion. It was so wonderful catching up with our friend who took a chance 49 years ago to come to Reedsville and learn all about Wisconsin and make new friends from RHS.

Many of you may have already heard, but our friend Gene Bauknecht passed away today. He fought a long health battle, may he now rest in Peace.

Hey gang, please keep GeneLori Bauknecht in your prayers. 🙏🙏 He is at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee and just went in for heart surgery. They expect surgery to last until around 8pm tonight.
