A play space that makes creativity easy—and cleanup just as simple. 🎨🧩

I love how the craft supplies on the bottom are stored in labeled, stackable containers. Each one can be grabbed and carried straight to the craft table, making it easy for kids to start a project and just as easy to put everything back when they’re done.

Small card games live in an open bin, so there’s no complicated system to slow things down. When game time is over, everything can be tossed right back in and the shelf is tidy again.

When storage is simple, kids can stay focused on the fun part—creating and playing. ✨

Game cabinet goals. 🎲
One of the easiest ways to keep board games organized and functional is storing them vertically like books instead of stacking them. It makes every game visible, easy to grab for family game night, and much easier to put back when you’re done. A simple trick we love: wrap a large rubber band around each box. This keeps lids from sliding off and pieces from spilling out when the game is stored upright. On the bottom shelf, smaller games are grouped together so they stay contained and don’t get lost behind the larger boxes. Keeping similar-sized items together helps the shelf stay tidy and makes cleanup quick for everyone.

The junk drawer… every home has one, and honestly—it’s one of the most useful drawers in the house.

It’s the place for all the little things you reach for throughout the day: pens, scissors, band-aids, chewing gum, spare keys, and all those small essentials that don’t have a dedicated home elsewhere.

The trick is giving those “junk drawer” items a little structure. We love using The Home Edit bins because they maximize the height of the drawer, letting you stack and contain more without everything becoming a pile. Each small category gets its own spot, making it easy to find what you need—and just as easy to put it back.

A little door space = a lot of wrapping paper sanity. 🎁✨

This setup uses the Elfa Over the Door Wrapping Paper System to keep every roll organized, visible, and off the ground. Holiday wrapping paper lives on the top section, while everyday birthday and celebration paper stays on the bottom—so you can grab exactly what you need in seconds.

One of my favorite little tricks? A simple slap bracelet around each roll to keep the paper from unraveling. It’s quick, colorful, and surprisingly perfect for the job.
