Today on the Learn Smarter Podcast, we welcome Dr. Ranjani Iyer to discuss neurodivergence and math. Dr. Iyer is an educator, researcher, curriculum developer, heartfulness leader, and parent. She talks about the importance of preparing learners and the importance of breaking down the problem. She talks about thoughtfulness in how we approach teaching math and the difference between memorization and application of learning. Frankly, we fell in love with Dr. Iyer and be sure to listen to Patreon to hear more about her ideas about her eastern and western background and how it has impacted her classroom and philosophy.

Happy Friday! Did you know we’re all about calendars here at My Ed Therapist? 📆 A good calendar system can make a big difference when it comes to keeping both you and your learner organized, prepared, and on track. Here are a few tips to help you find a system that works for your family! 🚀

🗓️ Choose a system and commit to it for at least a month. Consistency is key! Sticking with one method gives everyone time to adjust and build the habit.

🖼️ Paper calendar: Hang it in a high-traffic area, like the kitchen, so important dates and reminders are easy to see.

💻 Digital calendar: Share it with the whole family so everyone stays on the same page and updates are easy to make.

👨‍👩‍👧 Review the calendar together each night. A quick family check-in can help reduce surprises, ease stress, and make tomorrow feel a little more manageable.

Which works best for your family—paper or digital? Let us know in the comments! ⬇️
