We are beaming with pride after an exhilarating, meaningful whirlwind of a weekend at the JewQ International Shabbaton in New York!

Following months of diligent study and maintaining a 70% average, twelve of our Academy students joined hundreds of peers from around the world for a weekend packed with inspiration and high-energy fun. The highlight of the trip was the grand finale gameshow, where 2 of our very own students took to the stage to represent our school at the game show!

The energy reached a pitch as the results were announced, and we are thrilled to share that every single one of our students returned home as a medalist!

This is an event, program, highlight, shabbaton that you dont want to miss! It begins in 3rd grade through 8th grade!

Kindergarten at The Academy of the Arts

In Kindergarten, writing begins long before the pencil touches the paper. Our students are encouraged to talk through their ideas, share their thinking out loud, and explain their drawings before they write a single word.

These conversations matter. When children speak about their stories first, they build confidence, strengthen vocabulary, organize their thoughts, and learn that their ideas have value. Drawing becomes the bridge between imagination and written expression, allowing each child to make meaning in a way that feels joyful and developmentally right.

At The Academy, we honor the process, not just the product. We believe strong writers are nurtured through conversation, creativity, and connection. And it all starts right here, in Kindergarten, where voices are heard, ideas are celebrated, and stories come to life. 💛✏️🎨

We had so much fun on our third trimester field trip to Huntington Gardens! We got to explore the Chinese and Japanese gardens, pick cotton, and saw how furniture can be used as art.

Today we had a wonderful model seder! We went through all 15 steps, sang a lot and told over the story of the Jewish People out of Egypt. We are all ready for Pesach!!

Happy birthday to all the boys and girls that have a Jewish birthday in the hebrew months of Tevet and Shevat!
