I know I know…it’s Spring! (I didn’t skip Summer I promise! 🤭) But I am already planning my Fall- Saturday Spanish Immersion classes. The Fall Saturday session will begin in September and run through right before Thanksgiving break. 10 weeks. Classes held in Del Aire (Hawthorne). Drop off, ages 4-10, Art, music, gardening, crafts, literacy and soooo much more!
It will be a hybrid class. Two Saturdays a month in person and two Asynchronous for a more flexible experience that honors busy families! More to come!

This Summer, We Live Spanish! ☀️🌱🎨
Join us for a playful Spanish immersion experience for children in grades 1–5, where curiosity, creativity, and connection come alive. Choose from a Dual Immersion Spanish Maintenance Class or a 6‑Week Spanish Immersion Camp in June and July, set in a warm, nature-based home and garden.
Children will explore Spanish language & literacy through listening, speaking, reading, and writing, dive into hands-on science and environmental learning like gardening, and express themselves through art—all in Spanish every day. Students will enjoy STE(A)M lessons too! Music, movement, stories, creativity, and hands in the soil, flowers and veggies! Follow along as the magic grows 🌿✨
Camp will be located in the Wiseburn School District area in a private home. For more information contact Irma Vazquez, founder, My Escuelita: Spanish for Kids myescuelita.com 310.227.9422 (text)

I celebrate multilingualism every single day.
But in April we go extra at
Happy Bilingual & Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month!
I’ve taught multilingual learners Spanish and English for 35 years… this has been my life’s work- my impact. And here is what I know:
Learning, practicing and being exposed to another language AND the people who speak it- even if you do not become fluent- has sooooo many benefits. Let’s get into it!
Here are my top five favorite reasons why a bilingual brain, bilingual experiences and bilingual learning is 1000000% a super power:
1. EMPATHY: better cultural understanding
2. BRAIN: Cognitive improved brain flexibility
3. COMMUNICATION: all modalities are used
4. CONFIDENCE: more confidence in unfamiliar situations
5. CONNECTION: greater access and connection
Also:
It’s never too late.
Do not feel guilty for not starting sooner.
Baby steps will get you there.
There are sooooo many resources to help you.
Now more than ever number 1 is everything.
Need help, resources, support, ideas, chat?
