Calling all Bobcat artists! 🐾 The 2026–2027 Reflections Contest is now open for entries!

This year’s theme is: 🌎 “What My Culture Means to Me!”

Students can submit original work in one or more of the following categories:

💃 Dance Choreography • 🎬 Film Production • ✍️ Literature • 🎵 Music Composition • 📷 Photography • 🎨 Visual Arts

How to Enter

Visit our Reflections website for details and entry requirements.
Choose the category (or categories!) you’d like to enter.
Give your work a title.
Write your artist statement.
Submit your completed work electronically by October 25, 2026.

The 26-27 Spelling Bee Program is *buzzing* to announce: REGISTRATION IS OPEN to all students in Grades 1-5. Last day of registration is on TUES 10/20! 💛🖤

Cost is $30, paid with online registration - The fee covers enrollment, optional practice sessions, access to the Scripps National Spelling Bee 2027 Study List, qualifying written test, a participation certificate, and supplies.📓📒

5th Graders: Sign up for a booth! Sell what you make, Keep what you earn! Sell your handmade items including things like: keychains, jewelry, art, scarves, ornaments, baked goods & MORE. Join a friend or run one on your own.

Update: Some folks have asked if the regular busses are running, and yes!! This does not impact the regular bus routes, this is to encourage students to walk OR ride their regular bus. Both options will earn the school money and you can walk any day in October! This Friday and next are just the two we are coordinating walking with staff.

Join THIS Friday, Oct 2nd for our first Walking School Bus to get your *Walking Trip* in for "School Pool" Month - Meet the "Bus" leader and Clara Barton staff and we'll all walk to school together!

Calling Bobcat Artists: Design the Clara Barton Elementary Yearbook Cover! 📚

✨ One lucky student will have their artwork appear on the next CBE yearbook cover!

🎨 Students can submit one piece of art that represents what they love about their school. Use markers, crayons, colored pencils or paints on an 8.5”x11” sheet of paper

🗓️ Please submit your art to your teacher by Monday, October 26th. Make sure to write your name, teacher and "Yearbook" on the back lightly in pencil before submitting.

The “Redmond SchoolPool” program encourages students and their families to "Walk and Roll" to their neighborhood school in October! Each student taking at least 1 “non-driving” trip (walking, bus, bike or car-pooling with another non-family member) raises MONEY towards our PTSA program!!

WALKING BUS: Walk to School with Barton Staff!
Our Walking School Bus is back! After a great turnout last spring, we’re bringing this fun Barton tradition back for two mornings in October.

Join us Fri OCT 2nd & Fri OCT 9th!

Barton staff will meet students and families at designated locations at 8:55 AM, and we’ll all walk to school together!
