Dear Friends,
Bauer Speak Easys Toastmasters Club is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mentor, Rebecca Gage.
Rebecca Lyn Gage (Thomson), age 66, of Bothell, WA passed away on August 21, 2022. She is survived by her husband Rick Gage; daughter Stephanie (Craig) Milton; son Brian (Dr. Meghan Quint) Leamon; mother Barbara Stone; brothers Dr. Robert (Laura) Thomson and Barrett (Terri) Thomson; stepsister, Anne Golden, 6 grandchildren, and a host of loving friends and relatives.
Rebecca was born in Takoma Park, MD and was full of joy and life. Rebecca spent her life helping others. She became a registered nurse, receiving her Bachelor of Science from Walla Walla University in 1978. She enjoyed learning and loved to teach and empower others. She hosted workshops and served as a mentor for Toastmasters International for 19 years. Rebecca loved supporting and nurturing spiritual journeys and helping others find peacefulness.
Amongst things she cherished the most were: time with her children and grandchildren, morning tea time with Rick, gardening, dancing, singing, decorating, writing, dressing up, and expressing her creativity. She was extremely thoughtful and enjoyed finding unique, humorous gifts for loved ones. She also dedicated her time to help those in need, particularly at local womenโs shelters. In the summer, she looked forward to collecting seashells at the beach, watering her flowers, and playing games with her grandchildren.
Rebecca touched and helped all of us. Please leave comments, share your memories or express your condolences.
