Your participation in COREN's ELEVATE Survey will allow us to take action with programs and initiatives to support educators in Central Oregon.

This survey is designed for certified, classified, and building administrators. The ELEVATE Survey is anonymous and takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Findings will be aggregated and shared with participants and with educators across the region.

The ELEVATE survey closes on January 10, 2025.

Apply for the Oregon Educator Community!

In partnership with the EAC, Dr. Charlene Williams, Director of the Oregon Department of Education, will host bi-monthly Oregon Educator Community Convenings to provide space for ODE leadership to listen to the experiences and needs of Oregon educators who represent Oregon’s diverse demographics and identify shared priorities, challenges, and best practices across the state.

The input collected from educators will inform priorities for ODE programs or services and generate possible policy recommendations to address some of our statewide challenges.

Bend-La Pine Schools Black Family & Student Union is bringing the director of the documentary film Black Girls in Suburbia to Bend on September 15th at 1:00 p.m.!

Black Girl In Suburbia is a 55 minute feature documentary that looks into the experiences of black girls growing up in predominately White communities. This is a different look into suburbia from the perspective of women of color. This film explores through professional and personal interviews the conflict and issues black girls have relating to both white and black communities.

Coordinating Body Members work passionately to make the education system in our region more equitable for educators and students. Through collaboration and the sharing of lived experience, skills, and knowledge, together, we will prepare, recruit, support, and retain a racially diverse educator workforce that better represents our students.
