My third vision for School Board when elected is to have parent forums and parenting classes. I want to hold monthly forums where parents can voice their concerns and ideas in an informal setting. These forums can also be used for important topic like, “How to recognize depression in my child and where to go for help.” I feel the School District should be a resource for parents. We are in this together to help your child succeed!

My second vision for the School Board when elected is to help students reach their highest potential in all classes and provide classrooms that help the students leave each year at grade level or above. We need to provide the resources to make this happen. As a former educator within the district, I saw gaps that need to be filled. We need more resources and I want to make that happen.

My first vision for School Board when elected is to be completely transparent.

What does this look like?

I want the input of parents and concerned individuals and I want all the information to be visible and available.

Some parents have been very frustrated at School Board meetings. Last night I was asked how I would handle if a School Board meeting got out of hand.

My response was prevention! Why are these parents so upset? They feel like their voice is not being heard. They feel in the dark. I want to be transparent with parents and work together with them so they feel heard and seen.
