Sometimes the biggest growth happens when kids are given the chance to say, “I’m a little scared…but I’m going to try.”

Today, something as simple as hopping from stump to stump and balancing across logs became an opportunity to build balance, coordination, confidence, and problem solving skills.

Some of our kids were nervous at first and that made watching them try anyway even more special. They tested different ways to balance, figured out where to place their feet, adjusted when something didn’t work, and kept going.

And one of my favorite parts? The way they cheered each other on. 🥹

Every time someone made it across, you could hear their friends celebrating with them.

Outdoor play gives children the space to take manageable risks, trust their bodies, solve problems, and discover that they can do hard things.

Sometimes a few stumps and logs are all you need. 🌱🌸

I can’t believe that my book is finally out in the world!

I’m super proud of this debut book and I’m so thankful that I had some pretty amazing women who helped me with this process!

My editor Lor Calico Editor was so great in helping me to make sure the manuscript was up to par and that my rhyming scheme was on point.

Dileema Medonza Illustrations is an amazing artist an illustrator, and the first thing people comment on are the beautiful illustrations!

And my printer Lisa was so amazing to work with especially with this being my first time self publishing! The care she took, all the updates along the way, and helping me figure out how to print the best book that we could!

I’m so excited for upcoming book readings and markets and to really get this thing promoted but I’m also so excited because I have another idea that has sprouted and I hope these ladies are ready for me to be seeking them out again! 🥰🌱🌸

I cannot thank everyone enough for showing up to this book launch event!!

I’ve received wonderful feedback about the event and the book and I was so happy to see my family and friends and the kids/families from my enrichment classes as well as new faces!

A great big thank you to Miss Annmarie, Miss Dianna, Miss Kristen, and Miss Belle for all their help from morning to evening!

Thank you, Romberg tree service for the awesome logs that were the highlight of the event!

Thank you Dandelion Art Company for coming out to the event and creating buttons with the kids!

A great big huge shout out to my cousin Amy Abella of Sweet Pop Mania for her amazing detailed treats for the event!

She created some yummy cupcakes with beautiful decorations of the book as a topper and made my cute little sprout and blossom mascots as cake pops!!

These were such a hit! And I’m so glad she saved some in the refrigerator for me because everything was gone! 🤪🌱🌸🥰
