Earlier this week, our newest educators came together for New Teacher Orientation, an event designed to help them begin the school year informed, connected, supported, and EMPOWERED!
Participants learned about classroom management, instructional and technology resources, inclusion and behavior supports, employee services, professional expectations, and staff-student boundaries. They also connected with colleagues across schools and grade levels, building relationships that will support collaboration throughout the year.
We are proud to welcome our new teachers, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, and other certificated staff members to the RUSD team! We look forward to the knowledge, care, and fresh perspectives they will bring to our schools and students.

How do we help leaders at every stage of their journey prepare to support our schools? Bring them together to learn, collaborate, problem-solve and prepare for the year ahead!
During our two-day Administrative Advance, RUSD’s Management Team focused on the knowledge, alignment and shared practices needed to effectively support staff and students across our schools and departments, whether beginning their first year in a leadership role or bringing years of experience to the team.
The two days included an opening message from Superintendent Juan Cabral, Professional Learning Communities with Mac McWilliams, leadership roundtables, compliance updates, staff recognition and a warm welcome for new members of our team. We also continued our focus on bringing RUSD’s Portrait of a Graduate, EMPOWER, to life for every student.
Thank you to Crafton Hills College for hosting our team and sharing valuable information about college pathways and dual enrollment opportunities for RUSD students.
By learning and planning together, our leaders return to their schools and departments better prepared to serve and support the staff, students and families who make up Redlands Unified.
