Piano Camp is BACK July 27-July 31!🎹

Day 4 is done, and we can’t believe tomorrow is the last day! Today the campers prepared skits about musical periods (and silliness ensued!), and Professor Long brought in the death mask of Chopin to inspire the students and remind them that composers were real people, and we need to remember their lives and stories when we perform their music. We’re so excited for all the amazing performances tomorrow!

Another great day of learning at Piano Camp! The highlight, however, was today’s solo recital, featuring 12 outstanding young artists. We are very proud of their hard work and excited to see them perform with their ensembles on Friday!

Day 2 excitement! Today we had an amazing masterclass with Professor Long and six wonderful pianists performed excerpts from their pieces. The students also collaborated on posters that illustrated their assigned musical period. Their teamwork and creativity were both outstanding!

We had a great first day of camp! The students explored their creativity through the art and multimedia classes and stretched themselves musically in the organ and composition classes. And they embraced the joy of collaboration in their ensemble rehearsals. Pictured here are highlights from Performance Forum and Activities Showcase. We can’t wait for Day 2!
