Please keep this in mind and do not make post or participate in post like that. Too often we see posts about teachers, principals, and schools as a whole. Teachers do not get on social media blasting a parent out. So parents should not get on here blasting them out. Open communication with the teacher is very important. If you have a concern or complaint, take it to the teacher first. Next step would be to go to the principal, and then administration.

😤 A PARENT CAN POST ABOUT A TEACHER ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THERE IS NOTHING SHE CAN DO

The parent posts.

Tags the school.

Gets two hundred comments agreeing with her version of events.

Gets shared to the neighborhood group.

Gets picked up by someone who knows someone.

And by the time the teacher finds out it exists it has already been seen by parents, colleagues, and administrators who have never asked her side.

And the teacher?

Cannot comment.

Cannot correct the record.

Cannot share what actually happened.

Because she is a professional.

And professionals do not respond publicly to parent complaints even when those complaints are false.

So she sits with it.

While the internet decides who she is based on one parent's version of one moment from one afternoon.

No other profession asks its people to absorb public criticism in silence.

But teachers do it.

Every time.

Today we are back at it! Please remember that school buses are back on the roads today. Be extra cautious and watch for little ones standing along the roadside waiting for their bus. Give yourself a little extra time, slow down, and help us keep everyone safe!

This afternoon, we also ask for a little patience and grace in our car rider line. We will have new students, new families, and extra car riders who are still learning the routine. The line may move a little slower than usual these first few days, and that’s okay!

I promise, once everyone gets settled into the routine, things will pick up and the line will start moving much faster. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and for helping us have a safe and wonderful start!
