Congratulations to our choir students selected for this year's All-State Chorus!!! The entire choir learned and worked hard on the audition material, excited to get singing with this group!

Each student recorded an audition which was anonymously sent to multiple region choir directors outside of our school, who then collaborated to decide on our placements.

2026 All-State Chorus is in Rapid City, SD on October 30-31st with the Grand Concert on the 31st. More info to come!

The school year is almost here! We're excited to see all of our students this year and have some exciting things planned!
A few announcements for our middle and high school students and their families:
High school band students will need to purchase a 3-ring binder (any size) and 100 page protectors for their pep band binders. Most students in grades 10-12 should have already purchased these, but every student will be provided music for their pep band binders. Percussionists do not need to purchase these binders, but will need to help put together the percussion binders.
High school band students will also need to purchase their own marching band shoes starting this year. Mr. Desens will be getting students' shoe sizes ASAP and will be ordering one bulk order on behalf of the students. Students will need to bring their payment once the order is complete. Shoes are required to march. Cost will be shared ASAP.
High school band and choir students and their parents/guardians will need to join the BAND app for the appropriate ensemble. This app is vital to communication, especially during events outside of school. The links to join are below; follow the instructions to join.

The music department apparel store will be open until noon on August 31st. Make sure to get your order in! A percent of the proceeds will be returned to the program to help send students to events and keep materials in new, good condition. Looking for some gear to support your music student? Check out our Redfield Music Department store! The store will be open until noon on August 31st. Orders will be picked up at the school once they are all made and delivered to the school.

A percentage of the profits made will be given to the music department to help send students to events and keep our supplies in good order. Consider this an easy fundraiser to start the year!

Happy (almost) summer!
Reminder that students need to bring ALL of their PERSONALLY OWNED items home before the school year is over. That includes instruments, mouthpieces, books, cleaning kits, etc. Anything that is owned by you (or rented from a music store by you) must come home! Things left behind for the summer will be cataloged as the school's while inventory is re-done. Don't want your things lost and labeled as the school's? Make sure they come home!
We had a great year this year, make sure your things stay yours!
