One day, while sitting with a couple, I asked the husband a simple but important question:

“Do you want to be married?”

His response was one of the most honest answers I had ever heard:

“I want to want to be married.”

I looked at him and said, “I can work with that.”

Sometimes, you may feel hopeless in the middle of your circumstances. You may not know how to move forward, or even know if your marriage can be restored.

But if there is still a desire within you—even a small one—to find a way forward, I can work with that.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to take the next step.

If there is still a desire, there is still something to work with.

GOD IS WITH YOU — EVEN HERE.
There are seasons in life when you may feel lost, overwhelmed, hurt, or unsure of what to do next.
Maybe your marriage is struggling.
Maybe you’re struggling with who you are.
Maybe you’re carrying pain from your past.
Or maybe you simply don’t know which direction to go.
But you are not alone.
God has not abandoned you in the middle of your struggle. He is still there, still speaking, still guiding, and still inviting you to trust Him.
Sometimes the answer isn’t to try harder to control everything around you.
Sometimes the answer is to surrender.
To say:
“God, I don’t know what to do. But I trust You. Lead me.”
At Bettes Advising, my goal isn’t to tell you how to fix your life.
My goal is to encourage you to trust God more, to seek His direction, and to begin living a new life with God at the head of it.
When we allow God to lead, we can begin to see our marriage, our identity, our relationships, and even ourselves through a different perspective.
You may not know what tomorrow holds.
But you can know Who holds tomorrow.
Trust Him.
Follow Him.
Let Him lead.
Your story isn’t over. God is still writing it.
