Yup, I said it.

Social media is a WONDERFUL tool to build your reputation but it should not be the only way you build and boost your business!

Years ago I started recognizing the value in my email marketing list and noticed a tremendous difference in monthly sales depending upon how much I utilized my email list to market or keep in touch with clients.

Not only was there a positive difference in sales, but even more importantly there was a positive difference in the bond we were creating with the clients who patronized the business. In fact, of all of the marketing techniques I’ve ever used, email marketing was the only method that made clients come in and start a conversation based upon the email they opened!

This means the clients were thinking of the business when they weren’t within the walls AND they kept information in their brains about the business long enough to come in at a later date and talk about it!

That my friends, is a GOOD THING.

You want to build your brand around connection and communication. The only way to do this is to utilize every form of communication possible including email!

The best way to attract your dream clients is to identify who those clients are. Once you do that, begin building relationships with them and WOWing them with the customer experience!

1• You can only build what you can see.

One of the biggest problems faced when entering a new career or new role is the ability to cast a vision for what it will look like. Most people lack the ability to see where they are going and head straight to nowhere. A mentor can help you create a vision for your career, your life, or your new role within your industry. They can do this because they have already done it! They can see clearer and give clarity on the long term plan to success that you may not be able to see or create for yourself yet. Mentors can help accelerate your career and personal goals by giving you direction and a goal to work towards.

2• Learn from someone else’s mistakes.

We ALL make mistakes. But why on earth would you voluntarily keep making unnecessary ones if you don’t need to? Having a mentor allows you to skip over creating messes and affords you the opportunity to learn without being subjected to the pain, stress, and trauma that comes with experiencing it yourself. Mentors can save you money, time, and stress with their knowledge and lessons from experience.

3•You need to be poured into in order to overflow onto others.

We cannot pour from an empty tank. We cannot give what we do not have. This is why having a Mentor is a necessity. We need to have a relationship that exists strictly for the purpose of our growth and development. As we grow and develop, we find that we can help others more effectively and efficiently. We can help our clients, or colleagues, our spouses and our friends. Filling up our growth tank allows us to pour out knowledge generously to others!
