For many, common core state testing begins after spring break. Last year it was in 'test' mode, this year it comes with scores.
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and has breakfast, even if it is just a piece of toast. Food fuels the brain.

Hurray! It took a little longer than anticipated but Success Tutoring now has a new home!!

We will be moving into our new digs at 1724 West Street, next weekend.

Well we've encountered a bump in the road at Success Tutoring. This was our office. But, never fear! We hope to be up and running in a new location no later than Memorial Day.

A great FREE resource! Take some of the stress out of your AP tests by getting some practice in before hand -- and good luck!

AP tests are around the corner...
Did you know you can access study guides and sample tests for the AP exams through the library website for FREE!
1. Click here: http://rdg.shasta.ca.brainfuse.com/
2. Enter library card number and PIN when prompted.
3. Register as a New User with Brainfuse.
4. Look for "Skills Surfer"
5. Choose your AP test of choice and get studying!
6. Eat a healthy snack and be sure to get some rest.

Khan Academy is partnering with the College Board, creators of the SAT, to develop free, world-class test prep for the redesigned SAT.

This sounds very promising. The move towards more more evidence based thinking is a major shift, and one long overdue.

The company says its current college admission exams, which have fallen from favor, do not focus enough on important academic skills.
