Congratulations to today’s graduates from the History and Political Science Department!

The Simpson HPS Department had its annual Christmas party last night with good food, games, and gifts!

The Simpson and Political Science department joined the Simpson University Music Department at a showing of Hamilton in San Francisco!

This past weekend, Dr. Ayabe and Dr. Orr attended the Western Regional Conference on Faith and History at Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Ayabe completed his term as past-president of the organization and Dr. Orr was voted president-elect.

Friday in HIST 4305 American Revolution and Early Republic class we had tea and then took some to the pond and tossed it in solidarity with the Boston patriots. We had just read the book by Benjamin Carp, Defiance of the Patriots: The Boston Tea Party and the Making of America.

Congratulations to this year’s graduating class of History and Political Science majors! It is a special year as this is the first ever graduating class at Simpson University to include political science majors!

Day 7: Today Simpson HPS students got to explore the Museum of the Bible and attend an intimate evening prayer service at the National Cathedral!

Day 6: Simpson HPS students were set loose to explore the Smithsonian museums! Some of their favorite sights and exhibits included Thomas Jefferson’s writing desk, Julia Child’s kitchen, and much much more!
