Shasta Charter Academy Shasta Charter Academy is a Personalized Learning free public charter school for 9th through 12th Grade students.

Shasta Charter Academy, a free public charter high school, began operating in 1999. We are a charter school of Shasta Union High School District. While our headquarters is located in Redding, California, we are able to serve students in Shasta, Trinity, Tehama, Siskiyou, Modoc, Plumas, and Lassen counties. We meet the educational needs of our students using a learning model called Personalized Learning. Using a variety of different methods of instruction, including homeschooling, and taking into account student learning styles and educational or career goals, we create learning plans specific to each student's needs. Students are partnered with a fantastic teacher, who we call a Facilitator, that is trained in Personalized Learning. Students achieve their goals using a multitude of new, powerful, and proven educational models. Parents support their child's learning as they remain the essential force in affecting values, attitudes, and beliefs. Teachers are facilitators of discovery, mentoring, and consulting with families regarding educational choices.
