For our final Meet Our Teachers spotlight, we’re introducing the heart behind Caterpillar Campus! 🐛💛 As the owner and the one who started it all, she has poured so much love, passion, and heart into creating the school we know and love today.✨ Meet Ms. Jen ❤️

Since 2015, I have had the absolute joy of owning and directing Caterpillar Campus Preschool-a place that truly is my happy place! My journey in Early Childhood Education began in 2006 as a single mother raising two sons. When one of my boys experienced mild learning disabilities, it inspired me to shift my academic focus entirely to early childhood development so I could better advocate for him and other children.I earned my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Shasta College and hold a Site Supervisor Permit with the State of California. Early in my career, I spent six incredible years honing my craft at Shasta College's Lab School learning alongside brilliant mentors, followed by valuable hands-on experience in both Head Start and State Preschool programs. Moving into private preschool ultimately gave me the freedom and flexibility to support our students and families without limits.
When l'm not at school, I love spending quality time with my family, playing with my grandsons, hosting our traditional monthly family dinners, and enjoying the outdoors. In my quiet moments, you'll usually find me gardening, painting, rafting, or crocheting.

Meet our teachers day 4! 💕

Hi, I’m Mrs. Danica, and I’m so excited to be part of the Caterpillar Campus family!
I’ve been working in childcare for almost 12 years, and caring for children has truly become a passion of mine. Today, I’m proud to serve as the cook here at Caterpillar Campus, where I get to combine two things I love—children and cooking! 🥰🍎
I’m married, a mom of three amazing kids, and a proud cat mom to two furry babies. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me outside enjoying the sunshine, spending time in the water, fishing, or making memories with my babies. 🌞🎣💦

One of my favorite parts of my job is preparing homemade meals made with love for our Caterpillar kiddos. I truly believe that food is one of the sweetest ways to make children feel cared for, comfortable, and at home. ❤️
I absolutely love my job, my coworkers, and our Caterpillar family, and I can’t wait to welcome new families into our school! At Caterpillar Campus, we want every child to feel safe, loved, valued, and right at home while they learn, grow, and make wonderful memories.

Our wonderful 2's teacher, 🌟 Ms.Sara 🌟

Hi, I'm Sara. I work with the 2's class. I have 30+ years experience working with young children. I've worked for the Shasta County Office of Education, Head Start, and for the last 13 years have worked in private care centers and church early-years programs. I earned my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education at Shasta College in 2008. My husband Tim and I enjoy going to local music performances, spending evenings with family and friends, and traveling to the coast. I had the privilege of meeting Jen, the owner of this center, while working for a sister preschool. I started subbing here in 2021 and really enjoyed working with everyone here. I was hired in 2025 as a full-time teacher in the 2's room. This is a wonderful place to work.

Meet our teachers, day 2 ✨️ Our 3's teacher, Ms.Chelsea ✨️

Hi! My name is Chelsea, and I’m proud to be part of the Caterpillar Campus family! 🐛💚 I graduated from Shasta College in 2021 with an Associate Degree and teaching credentials in Early Childhood Education.
I’ve been working at Caterpillar Campus since 2017, with a two-year break when I had the opportunity to stay home with my daughter while she was an infant. 💕 Becoming a mom gave me an even greater appreciation for the importance of providing children with a loving, nurturing, and supportive environment.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time outdoors and making memories with the people I love! ☀️ I enjoy paddle boarding 🏄‍♀️, traveling, and spending quality time with my friends and family ❤️. I’m always up for an adventure, discovering new places, and enjoying the little moments that make life fun! 🌎✨
I truly love working with young children and helping them learn, grow, explore, and build confidence every day! 🎨📚🧩 I strive to create a classroom that is fun, welcoming, and full of opportunities for children to learn through play and hands-on experiences. Every child learns and grows in their own special way, and I love being part of that journey.
