Bridget's Morning Glory Quilt Series brings people together once a month from September through December to cut, piece, and stitch their way through a beautiful quilt — sharing tips, laughs, and the occasional "wait, how do I do this part?" along the way.
You'll leave each session having learned something new and having made a little more progress, surrounded by other folks who are on the same journey.

🪢 Stop Buying the Wrong Elastic for Your Waistbands
There's a specific kind of disappointment in finishing a waistband, trying it on, and realizing the elastic feels wrong — too stiff, rolling over on itself, or losing its stretch after just a few washes. Most of the time, that's not a sewing mistake, it's an elastic mismatch.
Braided elastic that's meant to sit inside a fully enclosed casing can feel scratchy and stiff if you accidentally stitch directly through it or expose it against skin. Meanwhile, softer knit elastic can feel great against skin but doesn't hold up as well if it's crammed into a super tight casing meant for narrower braided styles. And cheap, low-quality elastic in general — regardless of type — is often the real culprit behind that "loses its bounce after a few washes" problem, since lower-grade elastic simply degrades faster.
The fix isn't complicated: match your elastic type to how it's actually being used in the garment, and buy quality elastic that's rated to hold its stretch over time. It costs a little more upfront but saves you from redoing a waistband, or worse, wearing pants that slowly stop staying up.

Yep this is the same day as the M50 Mini Mystery! We will be doing both, cause we are extra like that!. Our classroom will open early for those that want to sew the mystery in the shop! We will pause the mystery for the Sewcase and then finish the mystery after. Most of the mystery will be finished before the Sewcase begins because of the time difference. Watch for more details!
