Have questions about Redding City Ballet’s Nutcracker Performance and Auditions? Join us for our Pre-Audition Meeting this Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 PM.

This is a chance for dancers and families to ask questions about the audition process, roles, rehearsal expectations, schedules, and what to expect throughout Nutcracker season.

The meeting will be held at the Redding City Ballet studio:

935 Locust St., Redding

Nutcracker auditions will follow on Saturday, August 29.

We’d love to see dancers from across the community there.

Nutcracker auditions are coming up! ✨

Join Redding City Ballet for The Nutcracker Auditions on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 935 Locust St., Redding.

Audition times:
10:00 AM – Children ages 6–9
11:00 AM – Children ages 10–13
12:30 PM – Advanced dancers 13+
2:30 PM – Teen/Adult Character

There will also be an Audition Information Meeting on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 PM.

Whether this is your first Nutcracker or a tradition you look forward to every year, we would love to have you be part of this season.

Chance 2 Dance auditions are coming up!

Redding City Ballet’s Chance 2 Dance program helps young dancers in 3rd–5th grade access a full year of ballet training, performance opportunities, and support through scholarship assistance.

This program is designed for students who show a passion for ballet and may not otherwise have the financial means to pursue formal dance training.

Auditions:
Saturday, August 8
3:00–4:00 PM

Selected dancers may receive scholarship support toward monthly tuition, dance uniform items, and performance-related fees for RCB productions, including The Nutcracker and our Spring Performance.

Scholarship tiers include:
Full scholarship
75% scholarship
50% scholarship

Students and families must be able to commit to ballet classes twice a week.
