Student Spotlight! Garnet Mayfield is taking classes in AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Physics II, and Psychology; she is also competing in several Science Olympiad events this year, including Designer Genes - her passion in life sciences - and Protein Modeling, which has strong ties in genetics. She is a first place medalist in Crime Busters and Can't Judge a Powder (2024) and Rocks and Minerals (2026). Garnet has plans to go to university abroad to study genetics and molecular biology, with the hopes of becoming a research scientist. She has volunteered at the Ansonia Nature Center for three years and dotes on her beloved rescue cats Push and Toshi.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came to our Science Fair and helped make it such a fun and memorable event! Your time, creativity, and hard work made the day a success, and we truly appreciate all of the effort that went into making it happen.

We're excited about the connections we made. If the families who came decide to join our team, that would be a fantastic outcome! Every new member helps us grow, and we're looking forward to an amazing season ahead.
