Red Wing FFA 2013 - 2014 Red Wing FFA - "My Life" FFA members fight hunger. They serve the community. FFA members travel to conventions and conferences. They learn and grow.

FFA's purpose is to build leadership, foster personal growth and provide career success through Agriculture Science education. They earn scholarships and meet new people. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students. Founded over 85 years ago as the Future Farmers of America, today the organization is simply called "FFA" as it prepares the future biologists, veterinarians, engineers an

d entrepreneurs of America. FFA is open to students in grades 8-12 and is the largest organization at Red Wing High School. There is no cost associated with membership, but it only available to students who take CASE/ Agriculture classes. The Advisors are Mrs. Robert and Mr. Sheehan. Red Wing FFA meets on the third Friday of the month during lunch and advisory in I-103. See an officer or Advisor for information to get more involved.

FFA members interested in attending the Region Banquet on Tuesday, April 8 MUST see Ms. Gorman before Friday. We will leave Red Wing at 5:00 and be back by 9:00-ish?

FFA members interested in attending the State Convention this year MUST see Ms. Gorman this week. The dates for convention are Sunday, April 27 - Tuesday April 29. We will be sharing a bus with Lake City again. Costs will range between $105 - $145 depending on how many people sign up and commit to go.

FFA meeting/holiday/New Year party this evening (Firday, Jan 10) 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the ag room! Plan on attending! Enter in Door 10... that will be the only way to get into the building by the ag room.

FFA fruit will be in TUESDAY, December 10. Members who sold fruit... You MUST make arrangements to pick up and deliver on TUESDAY! No exceptions.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Sadie Hawkins dance has been changed to Friday, December 13th. The cost is still $5 and is for grades 9-12. The theme is still western/casual and will still be held in the cafe at the Red Wing High School!

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE! This dance will be held on Saturday, December 14th. The cost is only $5 and will be in the cafe from 8pm -11pm. The theme is western wear/ casual formal (sundresses and flannel shirts). You can still come even if you don't have a date! We hope to see everyone there!
