FREE COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEK

Participating NC colleges and universities will waive application fees for eligible applications during this special week!

SENIORS, WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!
Throughout the school week, students will have MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES during the school day to complete and submit college applications! We want every senior to take advantage of this opportunity and explore their options after graduation!

FAFSA NIGHT

Seniors and parents are invited to receive assistance with completing the FAFSA and exploring financial aid opportunities to help make college more affordable!

Red Springs High Community,

Please be advised that the bus parking lot/drop-off area will be closed for repaving beginning on: Tuesday, October 6th.

During this time, the bus lot and rear of campus will be completely unavailable for vehicle traffic. Because this area also serves as a through-route to the middle school and provides access to additional staff parking, those areas will not be accessible through the bus lot while the work is being completed.

Important changes during the closure:

- All RSHS staff must park in the main parking lot.

- The bus lot may not be used as a through-route to the middle school or additional parking areas.

- Bus drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures will temporarily change.

- Bus riders will be dropped off beside the JROTC Building and will enter into the cafeteria from the back entrance.

- Upon dismissal, all bus riders will proceed between the gym building and the cafeteria to go to the buses. 4th period gym building students will also use this route.

- Buses will depart through the main lot.

Please plan accordingly and avoid entering the bus parking lot during the closure. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as this work is completed.

LAST-MINUTE HOMECOMING TAILGATE REMINDER!

Red Springs High School is excited to welcome our alumni and community back for our 2026 Homecoming Tailgate this Friday, October 2! As we prepare for a great evening of fellowship, school spirit, and Red Devil football, we want to remind everyone who has secured a tailgate spot of a few important expectations.

Tailgating will take place from 3:30–10:00 p.m. in the designated tailgate area on the softball field located on the Red Springs Middle School campus.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

- There is NO electricity source available in the tailgate area. Please plan accordingly. Small battery-powered devices are permitted, but sound must remain at a low volume. No DJs, large stereos, or excessive amplified sound are allowed.

- Everyone attending the tailgate must be prepared to purchase a football game ticket for $10 — CASH ONLY. After purchasing a ticket, you will receive an armband/wristband that will allow you to move between the football game and the tailgate area.

- No open-flame BBQs. Only gas or propane may be used, and each tailgate must have a working fire extinguisher.

- No alcohol, smoking, or va**ng is permitted on school property.

- Please bring your own trash bags and remove all trash from campus at the end of the evening.

- No food, beverages, clothing, spirit items, or other products may be sold from your tailgate.

- All school-age children must be accompanied by an adult to access the tailgate area.

We want this to be a safe, family-friendly celebration of Red Springs High School. Please come ready to fellowship, represent your class, cheer on the Red Devils, and enjoy a great Homecoming!

🔴⚫ RED SPRINGS ALUMNI — HOMECOMING IS CALLING! ⚫🔴

Homecoming is about more than a football game. It’s about coming home, reconnecting with classmates, celebrating Red Springs, and giving back to the school that helped shape us. On Friday, October 2, we want our alumni to SHOW UP and make Homecoming 2026 one to remember!

🏈 HOMECOMING TAILGATE
Get your classmates together, claim a spot, fire up the grill, and enjoy Homecoming together! Tailgating runs from 3:30–10:00 PM at the softball field on the Red Springs Middle School campus. Spots are $100 cash only and must be secured by September 28 through Ms. Karina Zarate. Everyone attending the tailgate must also purchase a $10 football ticket, which includes a wristband allowing you to move between the game and tailgate area.

💰 BATTLE OF THE CLASSES IS BACK!
Last year, the Class of 1985 took the crown by raising more than $5,000! Those donations helped purchase a new scoreboard and other items for our school. This year, we’re challenging EVERY graduating class from 1969–2024 to raise at least $1,000 for Red Springs High School.

Which class is going to take the title this year? The class that raises the most by October 1 will receive 10 Homecoming tickets and special recognition on the field during the Homecoming game! Donations support the resources needed by our athletes, teams, and coaches.

Call your classmates. Start the group chat. Reserve your tailgate spot. Pool your donations. And COME HOME!
