Our third graders put their engineering skills to the test with the Gumdrop Bridge Challenge! 🍬🌉

Students worked together to design and build a bridge using gumdrops and toothpicks that could span a 15 cm gap—then came the ultimate test: How many pennies could their bridge hold? 🪙

We love watching our students plan, build, test, problem-solve, and learn from their designs! That’s STEM learning at its best! 💡👏

At Red Rock Elementary, we believe in growing leaders from the very beginning!

Mr. Kadura leads our student leadership task force, giving students meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills while serving our school community. From helping with dismissal to preparing the café for assemblies, these students are learning that leadership is all about serving others and making a difference.

🏁 First Day Arrival Reminders for Roadrunner Families! ❤️🖤
Tomorrow is the big day! We are excited to welcome our Roadrunners back to school. Here are a few quick reminders to help make our first morning smooth and successful:

🚪 Doors open for families at 6:50 a.m.
👨‍👩‍👧 First day only: Parents/guardians may walk their student directly to their classroom.
🍎 Please do not enter the cafeteria. Students eating breakfast will enter the cafeteria independently with staff support.
⏰ Parents must exit the building by 7:30 a.m. so we can begin our school day and transition into our normal routines.
🎒 Have backpacks, water bottles, and supplies labeled with your student’s name.
💛 Keep goodbyes positive and encouraging! Our staff will be ready throughout the building to help students get where they need to go.
🚗 Please allow a little extra time and patience—the first morning is always busier than usual!

Thank you for helping us start the year strong. We can’t wait to see our Roadrunners tomorrow.

🎬 Lights, camera… action!
Just a quick heads-up for our Red Rock Elementary community: there’s a film crew working at Red Rock Steakhouse today and tomorrow. As part of filming, there may be some simulated gunfire sounds in the area.

No students are on campus at this time, and this is simply part of the production.

We wanted to give everyone a friendly heads-up so that any unexpected noises don’t cause unnecessary alarm.

We start rolling here on Thursday. 💡🎥 🎬
