While this is one of his favorite days for the kids, it's boring for Mr. Bell. (In a good way) We teach them to make their s'mores and then send them on their way. Even though we aren't camping, it's still important for them to sit around the fire, joke and laugh, eat, and enjoy the camaraderie of their peers.

It's a rare experience these days and it's important. They are having positive vibes, enjoying the shared experience and having some very interesting conversations. Kids need this more!

Outdoor Ed students have arrived at the Outdoor Extravaganza! We are excited to see some Texas Parks and Wildlife presentations geared towards youth hunting and then explore the show. Thank you to the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation for supporting our kids and getting us out here.

Our program had an amazing weekend at Cedar Hill State Park with the TPWD Texas Outdoor Family (TOF) program!

16 ROMS families explored the park, fished, kayaked, swam, made s'mores and had a lot of family time. Kids that get outdoors are happier & healthier!



We logged sightings of: 2 snakes, a beaver, several rabbits, red tail hawks, cardinals, cranes, many other birds, racoons, lizards, baby turtles, and a stubborn bass that wouldn't bite.

We're famous!

Congratulations to our inaugural Red Oak Archery Pro-Am! The Red Oak Middle School Archery Team held the event which matched a team member with a community member.
1st Place - Johnny Knight
2nd Place - Officer Meeks

We also wish the ROMS Archery Team good luck at the state competition this week!
