It is a busy day for Red Lake County 4-Hers at the Minnesota State Fair! Seven youth will participate in conference judging, where they will share about their project with a judge and other 4-Hers who also entered a project in their class.

A peek into day 1 of the Minnesota State Fair for our General Project exhibitors:

☀️ Hudson, Aiden, Logan, Josi, Hayden, and Chris traveled with youth and chaperones from around the region
🎤 Chris was invited to participate in Volunteer Talks, where he shared about his 4-H Volunteer experience to an audience of fairgoers
🍀 The group made it back to the 4-H building with a great haul of freebies after some fair exploration

Red Lake County 4-Hers Malayna H and Kyler O participated in virtual judging as part of 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair this year, and both earned blue ribbons! Their projects are on display in the 4-H building, and they each had the opportunity to participate in a live virtual judging session.

Today is show day at the Minnesota State Fair for Hailey H. of the Garnes Go Getters 4-H Club! This afternoon she will showcase her pen of brown egg layers alongside 4-Hers from across Minnesota.

Nearly all 4‑H State Fair livestock shows will be livestreamed as youth showcase the results of their hard work in 4‑H animal science projects. Tune in to cheer them on! www.mnstatefair.org/competitions/livestreaming

Congrats to Red Lake County's Minnesota 4‑H State Ambassador, Hayden S. of the Huot Hustlers 4-H club! The state ambassador team kicked off their year together at an orientation held July 27 - 31 on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. From there, ambassadors will spend the year representing Minnesota 4-H at award ceremonies, fundraising events, new member programs, and other special statewide activities.

Red Lake County 4-H'ers learned to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle at 4-H Day Camp last week! They enjoyed educational outdoor activities, team games, and created a group plastic sculpture project while learning about keeping our environment healthy.
