Many gardeners describe a sense of calm that comes from working with soil, tending plants, and spending time outdoors. Research has linked gardening with lower stress levels, improved mood, and stronger feelings of wellbeing for many people.

Contact with nature, physical movement, sunlight, and the rhythm of caring for living things can all play a role. Even simple acts like watering seedlings or pulling weeds often help people slow down mentally after overwhelming days.

A garden feeds more than the body. Sometimes it quietly helps the mind heal too.
