As we wrap up an incredible 5weeks of Summer Recreation Camp, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made this summer so special!

Today we celebrated an amazing summer with ice cream, lots of smiles, and great memories. We are so grateful to our wonderful campers, supportive families, and our outstanding counselors, whose enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication made each day fun, safe, and unforgettable.

A very special thank you goes to Patty Bowman from Holy Cow for generously donating ice cream for every camper. Your kindness helped make our last day extra sweet, and we truly appreciate your support of our camp and community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this summer. We hope you have a safe, happy, and memorable rest of your summer, and we can't wait to see you again next year! ☀️🍦❤️

🚨Due to weather summer camp and city games are cancelled for Wednesday July 29th🚨

On a side note last week and this week so far we had the Tivoli Fire Dept and Clermont State Historic Site come and do colonial silhouettes.

☀️ **What an Amazing First Two Weeks of Summer Recreation Camp!** ☀️

We've had so much fun learning, creating, and exploring together!

📚 A huge thank you to the **Red Hook & Tivoli Library** for visiting camp and helping our campers make awesome **Shrinky D***s**! Red Hook Public Library Tivoli Library

🎶 We had everyone moving and grooving during **Music & Motion** with **Terry Watson from Rhinebeck**, bringing smiles, laughter, and lots of energy to camp.

🌱 The **Dutchess County Soil & Water Conservation District** taught our campers all about watersheds using a hands-on **stream table demonstration**, showing how different types of vegetation help absorb water and reduce runoff. It was a fun and interactive way to learn about protecting our environment! Dutchess County Soil and Water Conservation District

🏛️ We also stepped back in time with the **Clermont Historical Society**, where campers learned about colonial life while creating their very own **colonial paper dolls**. Clermont State Historic Site

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful community partners for sharing your time, knowledge, and enthusiasm with our campers. We appreciate everything you do to make our Summer Recreation Camp such a memorable experience!

☀️ **Summer Camp Update 7/ 14 – Camp IS ON!** ☀️

We will **NOT** be cancelling camp due to the heat index as we did previously. Our counselors will be modifying activities throughout the day to keep campers safe, including plenty of water breaks, extra shade time, and low-intensity activities whenever possible.

To help your child stay comfortable, please make sure they come to camp with:
💧 A **labeled water bottle** (we'll encourage frequent refills!)
🧴 **Sunscreen applied before camp
🧢 A **hat** for additional sun protection.
👕 Lightweight, comfortable clothing.
👟 Sneakers (required for camp activities.)

Please be sure your child eats breakfast before arriving preferably no dairy products as dairy with heat can cause stomach aches and let us know if they have any medical concerns that may be affected by the heat.

The health and safety of our campers is always our top priority, and we will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the day. If conditions become unsafe, we will communicate any changes immediately.
