Dear Red Hook Families,
I hope this message finds you well. We are in the final stretch of the 2022-2023 school year! As your child gets ready to graduate, we hope this is an exciting time full of both celebration, and reflection, on a successful educational journey. Speaking on behalf of the entire High School, we cannot wait to celebrate your child’s graduation!
Below you can find a list of the events that will take place for Seniors at the end of the school year. I recommend saving this document for easy reference.

Prom Safety Assembly
SADD and the Red Hook Police Department coordinate a program to help students understand safe decision making and the ramifications of dangerous behavior

Senior Prom
Seniors can join their peers for one last opportunity to dance the night away. The event is taking place at the Hill in Hudson, NY – 65 Bells Pond Road, Hudson, NY
Students must arrive no later than 7:00 and must remain at the event until at least 9:00 (unless prior written permission is given). A specific permission form will be provided to students.
“Post-Prom” will take place at Bard College following the dance

Senior Walk Through
Take a walk back in time! Seniors will parade through the halls of their former schools while young students cheer and enjoy the inspiration of watching the soon-to-be grads!
Students will load the busses at 9:15 am and travel to LAMS and MR, returning to the High School at 10:30 for Senior BBQ
Students should wear their Senior Class Shirts or Red Hook Attire

Senior BBQ
Following the Senior Walk Through, Seniors will enjoy a BBQ on the High School lawn adjacent to the Soccer Field. Food, music, and games will be provided for the Seniors to enjoy. The event concludes at 11:30.
Meal tickets will be provided to students prior to the walk-through

Graduation Rehearsal
Students should arrive to rehearsal with the following:
District issued laptop, charger and power block
Parking pass
Textbooks
Textbook debt (if applicable)
Athletic Uniforms/Equipment
Students will be need to have their lockers cleaned out prior to this morning
Attendance is mandatory for this very important graduation walk-through – no exceptions
Caps and gowns will be distributed at this event
Students who have lost computer equipment will be required to pay the replacement costs.

Graduation
The ceremony will take place on the lawn of LAMS. If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be relocated to the Performing Art Center, with each Senior having three tickets for family attendees. Overflow viewing will take place inside LAMS in the Cafeteria.
Seniors should report at 10:00 am.
If graduation takes place outdoors as planned, there is no limit on number of seats per graduate.
