🌿 The Wisdom of Not Knowing

We spend an enormous amount of energy trying to know. Especially with Google and AI at our fingertips, we rarely just wonder. We are in this insatiable quest to always need to know the answer.

What’s going to happen?
What’s the right decision?
What does the future hold?
What will other people think?
Am I doing this right?

We often equate knowing with safety.
But what if not knowing isn’t something to fear?
What if no needing to know is an invitation to be curious? Truly, we aren’t meant to have all the answers.

“Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved.” - Soren Kierkegaard

We rarely know exactly how things will unfold. Maybe the wisdom isn’t in having all the answers. Maybe the wisdom is learning to be comfortable with the questions.

🤸When was the last time you PLAYED?

Not worked.❌
Not checked something off your to-do list.❌
Not answered emails.❌
Actually... played.🙌

George Bernard Shaw said it perfectly:
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing.”

As kids, play came naturally.
Then somewhere along the way, adulthood convinced us that being productive was more important than being playful.

Here’s the thing...

💥Play isn’t frivolous. It’s essential.💥
It reduces stress.
It sparks creativity.
It strengthens relationships.
It reminds us not to take life so seriously.

So this week, I invite you to make space for play.
Dance in your kitchen.
Take a bike ride.
Play pickleball.
Build a puzzle.
Laugh with a friend.
Throw a Frisbee.
Color with your kids (or grandkids!).
Play mahjong
Do something simply because it makes you laugh.

✨ Your homework this week:
Schedule play like you would any other important appointment.

💛 I’d love to hear from you...
What does PLAY look like for you? Tell me in the comments. It will be fun to hear the different way people play.
