This past weekend we dedicated the new scoreboard at Muskets Field in honor of Cameron Nevois.

Cameron grew up in this program. He was a player, earning the nine-year IronMan award. As an adult he came back as a coach. After the games he was usually still here, celebrating with the other coaches and his friends. That part of him belonged to this place too.

The funds that made this scoreboard possible came from Cameron. His parents, Rodney and Kim Nevois chose to put that gift here, at the field he knew.

Rodney has been part of the Muskets for years and Kim has given more hours than most of us can count. Together they helped build this field and this club. When people give that much of their time and their resources to a club, it is because the club has meant a tremendous amount to them. That is true of Rodney and Kim. It was true of Cameron. It is why this scoreboard is here. Thank you for your generous gift and know that you all mean a tremendous amount to this organization as well.

The plaque reads: Cameron Nevois, IronMan and Coach. This doesn’t fully describe the man Cameron was but he was proud of those accomplishments and we are too.

Thank you, Rodney and Kim. Thank you to everyone who helped make this field what it is. This board will keep score for a long time. Cameron’s name will be on it every game.

Community Update – Muskets Athletic Club Football

We are pleased to share excellent news with our community. Through the collective efforts of many families and supporters, the Muskets Athletic Club has secured enough players to field teams at every level this season, including Varsity.

The response has been outstanding. Numerous conversations took place across our community, and the result is a full program that will allow long-term players and new participants alike to compete and develop together. We are grateful to everyone who stepped forward, shared information, encouraged others, and helped make this possible.

This outcome reflects the strength of our hometown support and the shared commitment to providing quality youth football right here in our community. Practices are underway, and we look forward to an exciting season on our newly renovated field at Lincoln Park.

Thank you for coming together and for your continued support of the Muskets Athletic Club.

Once a Musket, Always a Musket.

Final Call: Muskets Varsity Football – Register by Thursday, August 19
The Muskets Athletic Club needs additional 7th- and 8th-grade players to field a Varsity team this season. Practices have already begun. Without more registrations by the end of the day on Wednesday, August 19, long-term players risk having no team. Team status must be declared to the league soon.
Significant upgrades are in place: a new Bermudagrass field designed for safety and performance, a new scoreboard, refreshed goal posts, full uniforms and equipment, and fresh helmets and pads. Coaches are trained in first aid and CPR, with additional oversight from experienced former coaches and program members focused on safe technique.
All costs for players registering now are fully covered by donations—there are no out-of-pocket expenses.
Our experienced coaching staff emphasizes fundamentals, athleticism, teamwork, and preparation for the next level. Last season the program graduated 21 eighth-grade players who are positioned to strengthen Musketeer Football at the high school. Go Musketeers! Games are played at Lincoln Park and feature a strong community atmosphere, including an annual homecoming with player recognition, a bonfire, bounce houses, and live music.
Any interested 7th- or 8th-grade player—new or returning—is welcome.
Register through the link on the Muskets Athletic Club page. Questions may be sent via Facebook Messenger.
Help ensure our long-term players have a team and that our community continues a high-quality hometown program.
Go Muskets.

Muskets Athletic Club Football: Building Champions in Our Hometown for Over 50 Years

For more than five decades, the Muskets Athletic Club has proudly delivered a competitive and developmental football program right here in our community. With a proven track record of success, one of the finest football fields in the league, and a dedicated fan base that provides unmatched support, we offer our athletes an exceptional experience grounded in fundamentals, athletic development, and teamwork.

Our program features stable volunteer coaching staff whose commitment extends beyond individual families ensuring focused instruction for every player. We organize teams across four age-appropriate divisions:
• Varsity (7th–8th Grade)
• Junior Varsity (5th–6th Grade)
• Sophomores (3rd–4th Grade)
• Freshmen (1st–2nd Grade)

In a small community like ours, we recognize the challenges of building strong local programs. While some may seek opportunities elsewhere, our mission remains clear: to provide every child a quality place to learn the game, develop athleticism and character, forge lifelong friendships, and represent their hometown with pride.

Current Registration Update:
Varsity stands at 11 players, and Freshmen at 16. We are aiming for 20–25 participants per squad (and welcome more) to ensure robust, competitive teams. Junior Varsity and Sophomore divisions already have strong numbers—thank you to those families!

If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 14, we invite you to join the Muskets family. Registration is open now—secure your spot and help us continue this tradition of excellence.

Together, let’s invest in our local athletes and build something lasting.

Go Muskets!
