🌱 Life Lessons in Agriscience! 🌱

Every Friday, my Agriscience students get to learn a life lesson that goes beyond the classroom—and I absolutely love seeing them put these skills to work!

Last Friday, they learned how to make homemade salsa, and they got to enjoy the fruits of their labor at our monthly FFA meeting! 🍅🌶️

This Friday, we took it a step further and learned how to break, prepare, and can fresh green beans. 🫛🫙 Not only did they learn a skill they can use at home for years to come, but they also know their hard work will be enjoyed later!

These green beans will be part of the meal at our Thanksgiving FFA meeting! 🦃🍽️

I’m so proud of these students for learning that Agriscience is about so much more than what happens in a textbook. It’s about learning skills, working together, serving others, and knowing how to take care of yourself and your family. ❤️🌱

Who knows what life lesson we’ll tackle next Friday! 👩‍🌾💚

It's time to kick off another exciting year with Red Boiling Springs FFA!

Join us for our FFA Back-to-School Meeting on Tuesday, August 11 at 6:00 PM in Mrs. Anderson's and Mrs. White's classrooms. Whether you're a returning member or interested in joining FFA for the very first time, we'd love to have you there!

During the meeting, we'll discuss:
🌟 Upcoming events and activities
🏆 Competitions and Career Development Events (CDEs)
👥 Leadership opportunities
🤝 Community service projects
🌱 Ways to get involved and make the most of your FFA experience

🍽️ Dinner will be provided for all students who attend!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn more about the opportunities FFA offers and how they can support their students throughout the year.

🌽 Crop Building Entries🌽

Don’t forget to get your crop entries in! We are hoping to fill the entire building up!!!

Entries are accepted:
Today (Sunday) from 2-5
Monday from 8-12

There are activities going on today, so if you are entering crops, you must come in the main gate! Do not go down the second lane.

The Herbert Teacher of Excellence in Agriculture Award recognizes educators who inspire students through engaging instruction, innovative learning experiences, and a dedication to preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders. Ms. Anderson was selected for her impactful teaching philosophy, student-centered approach, and ability to connect classroom learning with real-world agricultural applications.
In recognition of her achievement, Ms. Anderson has also been invited to attend the upcoming Herbert Teacher of Excellence award ceremony.

Farm Day was a huge success!!!

We couldn’t have pulled it off without all the amazing help that we had from our students! We want to thank them so much! We also want to thank Sam P., and Tyson Jenkins for bringing animals, Macon Bank, Wellworth Bank, and the Soil Conservation Office for all coming to see our awesome elementary students!

We love this day and we love see all the kids learning about Agriculture!!! This is an event that we love having each year, and continue to try to think of new ideas to add on for next year!
