Before Fall Break, our after school program students participated in a rock painting contest with MCAC. We are proud to announce that Mr. Lucas York won the People’s Choice Award, and Miss Gracelynn Wilson won 3rd place in the food category! Pictured here with their cash prizes are Lucas and Gracelynn with their after school program teachers, Mrs. Januarie Alred, Mrs. Sandy Smith, and Mrs. Pam Pedigo! We are so proud of you, Lucas and Gracelynn! Thank you to the Macon County Arts Council and these amazing teachers for choosing to pour into our students!

This year we kicked off our parade day for homecoming week with a little help from our football team and cheerleaders with our first elementary pep rally! It was so much fun and we’re looking forward to it becoming an annual tradition!

The LEAPS Afterschool Program students had a great learning experience today! Thank you to Mr. David Flynn from Macon Community Hospital for coming as a guest speaker for our students. He demonstrated how 3D printing is changing our healthcare and other aspects of our lives. The students were very interested in 3D printing and how it works! Each student received a 3D printed heart. ❤️
