Our 7th grade students traveled to the Livingston campus of Vol State Community College yesterday with Mrs. Lesley, our school counselor. While there, students learned about the 120 different fields of study that are offered by Vol State and participated in nursing lab simulations. Students also learned some new facts about biology and adaptations and even met some new reptile friends. We were treated to a delicious pizza lunch and ended our day with an ice cream treat at Dairy Burger. It was definitely a 10/10 day!!

💻✨ Computer Science Class Spotlight! ✨💻

Ms. Kyndra’s Computer Science classes have been busy learning, creating, and putting their coding skills to work! 🖥️⌨️

Students have been learning all about computer parts, coding, and how technology works. They’ve learned how to use binary code, create their own algorithms, and even design and create a game all by themselves! 🎮👾

It has been so exciting to watch their creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence grow as they learn something new! We are so proud of all the hard work these students are putting in. ❤️💻

Keep up the great work, coders! 🚀

👀👂👃👅🖐️ Kindergarten Put Their FIVE Senses to Work! 🖐️👅👃👂👀

Our kindergarteners have been learning all about the five senses, and we celebrated everything they’ve learned with some hands-on, sensory-filled fun! 🎉

We took a sensory walk and used our eyes, ears, noses, tongues, and hands to explore the world around us. Then we put all five senses to work while making and enjoying popcorn! 🍿

From listening to the popcorn pop, watching it transform, smelling that delicious popcorn, feeling the texture, and of course tasting our yummy creation—our little Wildcats experienced learning in the BEST way! 🐾💜💛

Learning that we can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch isn’t just something we can read about…it’s something we can EXPERIENCE!

What a fun, engaging, and memorable way to wrap up our learning about the FIVE SENSES! 🍿✨

Kindergarten learning is always better when we can get our senses involved! 💜💛🐾
