"There were scholarships in California, but we need something here! So Tom McMahon and I needed to start a local scholarship! That's how we started GRIP: to help our kids!" Thank you Mrs. Fuchs and Mr. McMahon for helping change the lives of so many students!

Iris: I resented my family when I first found out I was undocumented because i felt they had ruined my life. I couldn't go to college or get my lisence! Later, I found out my family brought me here to be great to get a better opportunity. I grew to appreciate what they did and embrance my situation. We can make a change! I want to make this country better and the world!

"People thought I was lazy, I wasnt going to amount to anything because I wasn't applying anywhere, didn't have a job, or car... I lost confidence and gave up on life, I went from 4.0 to a 3.1 GPA!" Rainy, on finding out she was undocumented.
