This weekâs Alumni Spotlight is Aivars Spilde!
Since graduating from Albright, Aivars has been living and working in Philadelphia for about a year and a half working as a CPA for public accounting firm by the name of Baker Tilly.
His job involves me working and interacting with many different team-members as well as clients; obviously such work requires a great deal of collaboration and effective communication skills. In that regard, âI think Alpha Sig did an excellent job in preparing me for the real world. From day 1 of the pledge process, I was taught the importance of working with others - âone fails, all fails.â And through my experience of working with other brothers, I learned valuable lessons in patience and compromise. Furthermore, my tenure as treasurer of the chapter helped develop my accounting and budgeting skills, which served me well in my current job.â
Itâs great to see youâre doing well and that Alpha Sig has helped you along the way! Great job Aivars

To kick off our Friday Alumni Spotlights, hereâs alumnus Travis Gray â16.
Currently he is ranked in the top 3 of his class and is a staff editor for Widener Law Review. Like at Albright, Travis is involved in a lot such as being a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and is a member of the executive board for the Student Bar Association with plans of running for President at the end of the semester. As of right now, he is not entirely sure as to what he wishes to practice, but has interest in criminal defense and domestic relations. He is currently in the process of finishing his law review note which is entitled âThe New Jim Crow: the Supreme Courtâs Decision to Deprive Equal Protection Under the Law to Those with Mental Disabilitiesâ.
He says: âAlpha Sig has prepared me for this point in my life because I was taught to never shy away from disclosing my opinion. Most importantly, I was taught that after working hard, itâs perfectly acceptable to have a little fun in returnâ. Thank you for being such a great role model for our chapter Travis, your legacy continues to this day.
