It's Wyoming Week for Reading Athletics as several Blue Devil teams prepare to take on the Cowboys! This week also marks the final week of the regular season for our High School Volleyball and Soccer teams, while our Junior High Soccer and Volleyball teams wraps up their seasons and our Cross Country teams compete at the CHL Championships.

Monday kicks off the week with our Junior High Girls and Boys Soccer teams hosting Norwood in their final games of the season. The girls will play at 4:30 PM, followed by the boys at 5:45 PM.

Tuesday features a busy evening of Blue Devil action! 7th Grade Volleyball begins CHL Tournament play against Taylor at Deer Park at 5:30 PM. Meanwhile, JV and Varsity Volleyball host Wyoming at 5:30 and 6:30 PM. Varsity Boys Soccer will also host Wyoming at 7:00 PM for Senior Night, as we recognize our senior soccer players and their contributions to the program before the game at 6:40 PM.

Wednesday brings championship competition as Junior High and High School Cross Country heads to Taylor for the CHL Championships, beginning at 4:30 PM. Our 8th Grade Volleyball team will also compete in the CHL Tournament at Deer Park, taking on Taylor at 5:30 PM. Varsity Girls Soccer travels to Wyoming for a 7:00 PM matchup.

Thursday keeps the action going as Junior High Football hosts Wyoming at 5:00 PM for its final home game of the season. JV and Varsity Volleyball will also be at home, taking on Mariemont at 5:30 and 6:30 PM in their final regular season matches. The Varsity Boys Soccer team travels to Seven Hills for a 7:00 PM contest.

Friday is game day for our Varsity Football team as the Blue Devils travel to Wyoming to take on the Cowboys in CHL action.

Saturday wraps up the week with JV Football hosting Wyoming at 10:00 AM. High School Girls and Boys Soccer will also travel to Roger Bacon for their final regular season games, with the girls kicking off at 10:00 AM and the boys following at 12:00 PM.

As our fall sports season begins to wind down, we want to recognize the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes and coaches throughout the season. Come out and support our teams this week as they finish the regular season strong!

Today, we celebrated our three Volleyball Seniors—Kayda, Meredith, and Lillie—before their game against Purcell Marian!

Thank you for your commitment, dedication, and contributions to the Reading Volleyball program. You have represented yourselves, your teammates, and your school with pride, and we are grateful for the impact you have made on our program.

Congratulations to David Sickinger of the Reading Varsity Golf team for being named our Athlete of the Week for October 5, 2026!

David was nominated by Varsity Golf Head Coach Nicholas Schaefer for demonstrating the qualities of a Resilient Achiever through his consistency, determination, and ability to perform regardless of the circumstances.

Coach Schaefer shared the following about David:
"No matter the situation, David shows up and performs. He represents his school and family extremely well."

David's commitment, perseverance, and pride in representing Reading Athletics make him a great example of the Blue Devil Way.
