Ever wondered how elevation and relief are measured? Our 6th grade science classes brought the concepts to life! Students built models of mountains and valleys and used them to calculate elevation and relief — lots of creativity, teamwork, and “aha!” moments. ⛰️📏

In social studies classes today, students stepped back in time to study the events of September 11, 2001, exploring the history that shaped the world they were born into.

After reflecting on the resilience, unity, and sacrifices of that day, students headed outside to plant a field of American flags across the school's front lawn. Each flag stands as a lasting tribute to the innocent lives lost and the heroes who rushed forward.

As we mark the 25th anniversary, we will never forget.

🥐🍊A Little Lunch Love for Our Amazing Staff!❤️

Today, our staff members were treated to their very own personal lunch boxes courtesy of PBIS! 🎉

Each lunch box included everything needed to build a delicious croissant sandwich, along with a snack bag, fresh fruit, brownies, and water! 🍎🥐🍫

Our staff does so much each and every day for our students and school, and we wanted to show them a little extra appreciation by taking care of lunch today! ❤️

We are so grateful for the incredible people who make D.H.H. Lengel such a special place. Our staff truly is AMAZING! 🌊❤️

Mrs. Matulevich's science classes kicked off the year with a classic: "What's in the Bag?"

Students practiced key science skills such as making observations and drawing inferences to figure out the mystery objects. The best part? When she pulled out golf tees, almost every student called them "those things on the table at Cracker Barrel!" 😂

Great observations, real-world connections, and priceless reactions—exactly what middle school science is all about! 🧪✨
