The students and staff had a $1 Out of Uniform Day to raise money and awareness for LCH - a type of childhood cancer. Austin Theis (current 4th grade student) was diagnosed with LCH when he was in preschool. After being in remission since 1st grade, Austin found out this Summer the cancer had returned. Today, SPPA wore their blue and yellow in support of Austin. Thank you to the Theis family for the student gift bags and cookies.

SPPA has a new name for our Principal positive notifications - CHARGER CHAMPIONS.

When a student demonstrates excellence in a cornerstone belief - Faith, Academics, Values & Service - a teacher can recognize them with a Charger Champion referral. The students then come see Mr. Birdsong for a special treat and a “good news” phone call home.

Congratulations to the first 4 students for being a Charger Champion!

The students in 4th - 8th grade gathered this morning to hear speeches from their classmates running for the different positions of Student Council. These kids demonstrated their desire to be a leader and were very brave to stand in front of the others to give a speech. Well done everyone!
