How do we truly discern what's of God? It's a powerful combination of the Holy Spirit's prompting and a deep understanding of scripture. Learn how the gift of discerning spirits works with God's word to bring clarity to your spiritual insights.

Dreams can be powerful, but it's crucial to discern their origin. Don't just accept a dream's message immediately. Examine it carefully to understand if it truly aligns with God's will or if it's leading you astray. Seek confirmation from trusted leaders and your community before acting on it.

Scripture warns us: 'Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God.' This applies to prophecies, dreams, and all spiritual communication. Discernment is key.

Are you bringing encouragement or condemnation? Judging an area can feel like guidance, but it often leaves others feeling destroyed. God convicts, He doesn't condemn. He awakens our hearts without making us feel worthless or unsuccessful.

Understanding the fruit of the Holy Spirit is crucial. Look for kindness, joy, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These signs help us discern the spirit of the Lord in messages.
