Jaywalkers were repping the squad at Ray High Open House on Monday!

I am truly grateful for the squad I have this year! These girls jump at every chance to get together, bond, and make us look amazing.

It makes coaching so much more fun and exciting. Big things are headed our way! Stay tuned!!

Today was picture day!!! The girls looked fabulous! They did group pics, individual pics, partner pics, and even asked to take some pictures with me. I loved it!!!

And as per the usual, the girls turned the day into a way to bond. They each picked a color and then brought a snack that was that color. They made a TikTok of their snacks and then we discussed the season.

The girls are super excited to get those Friday Night Lights started! And so am I!

I finally want to thank Darryl from DWoodsPhoto. He always knows how to get the best pics from my girls!!!

Today’s temperatures were extreme so practice was a little different.

We designed our Jaywalker folder that holds game and practice schedules and the list of our new and old sidelines.

Then we discussed what our game bags should carry, our popcorn fundraiser, and what the season is going to look like.

Then we did some costume shopping! We had a good time creating our list of costumes. I can’t wait until they get to perform in them.

Finally we worked through new sidelines and our first halftime dance. I really enjoy working with these girls. They are always excited about whatever we do.

Oh and I can’t forget I got a backpack tag that has my favorite colors and inspiring phrases! Thank you Lexi Norfleet. And the squad also made me a backpack tag with all of their initials. Thank you guys, you make me feel like a million bucks!!

Last night two of the team’s moms Amber Bradley and Tamela Ross threw the second annual Summer Jaywalker Barbecue.

The girls got together to bond, prep the season’s spirit gear, and break bread together. ❤️🍔

I am out of town so I wasn’t able to attend. However, they sent me pictures, videos and messages so I could be in the loop. 🥰.

Out of the BLUE
a couple of my girls gifted me a King Size Kit Kat and goodie bag with pictures from the parade, a disco ball (you know for dancing) some duckies (which has become our trademark) and a mini trophy saying “Best Coach” 🥰

“Just Because” gifts! For me!!! I haven’t gotten gifts as a coach before!!! The kindness these girls share towards me and each other is such a breath of fresh air! Thank you Kylee Bradley and Lexi Norfleet!!!

Where to start!!! Back to Back to Back Varsity level work!!

The week before camp the girls built a parade march from nothing. 🤯

Then they had an intense camp last week. 🥵

Next they took one of those dances and in just 2 practices perfected it for the Overland Park Juneteenth Parade and Performance! 🤩

The girls were amazing! People were honking and hyping them up. They return the hype to the other drill teams and marching bands. They showed up and showed out for Raytown High School and Raytown C-2 School District! I am beyond proud!!!🥰

I want to thank Dallas’s mom Tamela Ross and Kylee’s mom Amber Bradley for marching with us and carrying our banner. I also want to thank all the parents, the best friends, the boyfriends, the family that came out to support us and celebrate Juneteenth!!! B-L-U-E-J-A-Y-S!!!

Side note: We got our picture taken with the KC Chiefs Cheerleaders AND several little girls asked to get their picture taken with our Jaywalkers! I can’t love this enough!!

UPDATE: They have already invited us to return for next year! Wow!!!
