Animal Health students spent last week working on prototypes for their Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium animal enrichment project. Final products will be given directly to the animals they have been personally designed for.

Reminder! This is the last week for our Winter Warmth Drive at HCC and Southland CAPS. Our SkillsUSA and HOSA students are collecting new and gently used coats, hats, and gloves along with hygiene and paper products to be donated to Hope Network of Raytown. Your student can bring donations into their programs and give them to their instructors. If you would like to participate via our Amazon Wish List, you can do that by clicking on the link below. Items will be sent directly to the HCC main office.

Reminder that next week, November 24 - 28 is Fall Break for Herndon Career Center and Southland CAPS. We look forward to seeing everyone back on December 1.

Beginning December 1 thru December 12 the HCC SkillsUSA and HOSA chapters will be hosting a Winter Warmth drive collecting new and gently used winter coats, hats, gloves, hygiene and paper products to support our community with needs throughout the winter. Donations will be collected in each program area and will support the Hope Network of Raytown. HCC Cosmetology will be offering credit towards salon services for donated hats and coats on campus.

HCC/CAPS parents and students, Wednesday, September 17 is HCC Picture Day. Students will have their individual picture taken as well as a class picture taken. Students may wear a school appropriate outfit or their program uniforms if preferred. Instructors may give further direction. Please see the HCC/CAPS Newsletter for additional information on purchasing.
