Shoutout to our land judging teams for their hard work at the ULL Cade Invitational today! Our blue team secured an impressive sixth place overall, and our Alternate team 2 finished ninth.

Also, congratulations to Ahna F. for taking third place individually, Karson R. for earning 8th place, and Tristan R. for placing 19th. So proud of how everyone represented us out there!

Join the Rayne High AG Dept. as we celebrate our members, serve our community, and show off our 4-H pride all week long! Here is what’s happening:

🥤 Tuesday: 4-H Meeting & Coke Float Social! Catch up on upcoming projects and enjoy a sweet treat.

📌 Wednesday (Oct 7): Bulletin Board Update from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in Room 58 (Ag Dept.). Help us refresh our display with new photos and graphics!

🧁 Friday: 4-H Appreciates Our Teachers! Members will be delivering homemade baked goods to our wonderful teachers and staff. (Members: Don't forget to drop off your baked goods in the morning!)

Want to learn more about what 4-H has to offer? Join us for our 4-H Open House TOMORROW from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the 4-H office.

This is a great opportunity for youth and families to explore the different project areas, meet volunteers and leaders, ask questions, and discover how 4-H can help young people grow into confident leaders.

Ending our first week of school on a high note at the AG Department! Huge shoutout to Rayne FFA alumni (and part time Pelican wrangler) Ben Dupre for his quick thinking and kindness. He rescued an injured white pelican, ensuring it got the care it needed at For the Birds of Acadiana.

ABC Pelican After-School Welding Program

Classes begin on August 25

Applications will be available beginning August 12, 2026 and are due back by August 19, 2026.

Student Requirements
Must be at least 16 years old
Must have obtained the CITF Core Credential prior to enrollment
Must have reliable transportation to and from class
Attendance is mandatory
Spots are limited
