The position of Historian is a new one for us!

Their main jobs will be to gather and save all necessary documents to our Google drive and/or MTK system, record all activities and achievements of the association, and organize volunteer data. This person will create, a quarterly newsletter as well.

Hi all! Is the PTA hosting the Frozen 2 party at the movies?
We are thrilled your school has a Girls on the Run team this spring and we would love to have you join us & support your team by participating or volunteering at our 5K on Saturday, May 4th! Love that our PTA has such a great sense of humor. This was one of the dessert choices after a fantastic lunch from Fazoli's. Lego man p**p tastes a little like chocolate. The Lego theme has been a lot of fun!

Week of: 08/14 - 08/20
THEME: Back to Scool Prep
Holy Moly Batman where did the summer go? We are only 8 days away from the first day of school (for students).
This week - buy school supplies, start going to bed earlier / getting up earlier, attend Meet the Teacher Night and stop by the PTA for additional information about upcoming events.


Week of: 08/07 - 08/13
THEME: Games
Board Games, Dice, Dominos, Jenga, Checkers, Chess, Mancala, UNO, Chinese Checkers, Slap Jack, War, 21, and so many more options.

PS there are only 15 days left before school starts.


Week of: 07/31 - 08/06
THEME: Mad Scientist
Make a volcano, see what happens when you put mentos in soda. Learn about the parts of a plant. Make a windmill or rain catcher.


Week of: 07/24 - 07/30
THEME: Craft & Create
This is a great one for this week since it's going to be hot outside. Paint, learn to sew, paper mache, draw, make jewelry, build and bird house.

We are less than 30 days until school starts. (28 days to be exact)


Today is Hug your Kid(s) Day. Everyone needs a hug!

THEME: Give Back / Save the Planet
Pick up trash, Recycle, volunteer, donate unwanted items.

STEP 1: Register
Follow this link to complete the online registration forms:

STEP 2: Verify residency

Every family in the Ray-Pec School District must verify residency each year as part of the registration/enrollment process. To verify residency, send an email to [email protected] and include the following information in the email message:

Name(s) of your student(s), grade level(s) and the school(s) they will attend.
Your address.
A phone number where you can be reached.

Attach a PDF copy of your electric, gas, or water bill (may be scanned) to the email.

The bill must be in the name of a parent or legal guardian in the primary resident household for the student.
The bill must show the service address (not just mailing address).
The bill must have been issued within the last 30 days.
A final notice or disconnect notice is not an acceptable proof of residency.

Have a dance party, build an obstacle course, bike ride, play outside, go on a walk. There are so many ways to Get Active!

We are about HALFWAY through summer already.

Thank a solider/veteran, eat hamburgers, hot dogs, bomb pops, shoot fireworks,

THEME: Water Week
So many options for this one....
wash a car
play in the hose
make a sprinkler using a 2liter bottle
build a water tower using smoothie straws and popsicle sticks
build a boat and see if it floats
water beads

THEME: Explore the Outdoors
Go on a scavenger hunt, bug hunt, look for shapes in the clouds. If you still need ideas be sure to look at our list of activities that is pinned to the top of our page.

Happy Friday SG! Just a couple of quick reminders/updates.

Session 1 of summer has wrapped up and sessions 2 will start on TUESDAY, 06/20.

No School Monday, 06/19 in observance of Juneteenth. School WILL BE in session on Friday, 06/23 due to the holiday on Monday.

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. Don't forget to check back on Mondays to see what the weekly theme is.

THEME: Figure It Out
This weeks theme is all about figuring out how to make things work and connect together. The possibilities are endless. Examples: Legos, puzzles, marble runs, and forts.

We would love to see pictures of your creations so post them in the comments.


Week of 06/05 - 06/11
THEME: Chefs Up πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸͺπŸ₯ͺπŸŽ‚πŸ₯—πŸ§‘β€πŸ³
With the chance of rain off an on all week thought it might be good to start with indoor activities. This theme is all about cooking, baking, meal prep, and portioning. Teaching life skills!
Teach them or let them (if age appropriate) to bake, make popsicles, make breakfast/lunch/dinner, teach them how to use a microwave, stove/oven (if age appropriate).
